SUMMER CAMP IN VIETNAM
Every year we run our popular Summer Camp in Vietnam program for kids between the ages of 7 and 17.
During our Vietnamese Summer Camp, kids will learn Vietnamese with us for four hours in the morning before going for lunch together.
After lunch we go and explore the sights of Saigon as we engage in a cultural activity/visit together.

Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) is the home of our Vietnamese Summer Camp, in which we study Vietnamese together and then go and explore one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in all of Asia.

DATES FOR SUMMER CAMP
Our Summer Camp in Vietnam runs for 8 weeks during the months of June and July.
Your kids are welcome to join for anything between one and eight weeks.

SUMMER CAMP SCHEDULE
We get up to a whole host of exciting activities with the kids over the eight weeks.
These can include trips to local museums, parks and markets where we can all practice using the language together. We also run a day trip every Saturday which will last typically from 9am to 6pm roughly.

ACCOMMODATION
You have two accommodation options with the Vietnamese Summer Camp.
Your child can sign up for the homestay camp or the residence camp.
Our homestay camp is with a local Vietnamese homestay family, allowing your child to experience Vietnamese culture first hand, whilst practicing language skills as much as possible.
The LTL residence camp allows students to live together with other summer camp students. Children will stay in shared rooms together.
A program coordinator lives with the participants, organizing activities, support and supervision during the program.

Our full price list is shown below. Your child can come and study with in Saigon for anything between one and eight weeks, for either a full day or half a day.
FAQs FOR PARENTS
Can families participate as well as just children?
Yes, parents can accompany their children to the Vietnamese Summer Camp and either take a language course on their own, share accommodation with their child or take a break and explore while their child is at the summer camp.

Can siblings and friends come together?
Of course, we welcome this!
We even offer a 5% discount for any summer camp participants who sign up together.
Should I buy health insurance?
Yes. This is a must.
Please make sure it covers international clinics and hospitals in Vietnam.
Is lunch included in the Vietnamese Summer Camp?
Yes lunch is included for all summer camp students.
After the morning classes, we accompany the children to a restaurant where we’ll fill up on food before going out to explore Ho Chi Minh City.
How long are lessons at LTL?
Each lesson lasts 55 minutes.
Schedules can vary slightly, but usually our language classes are from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm with a one hour lunch break in between.
Can I set rules for my child whilst they study at LTL?
Yes you can.
You will fill out our parent questionnaire before the summer camp in Vietnam.
Here you can define rules for your child.
Is Vietnam safe?
Vietnam is generally a safe place.
Caution should be exercised when walking from A to B. For example, kids shouldn’t be browsing on their mobile phones whilst walking down the streets.
That being said – Vietnam is a country full of wonderful people who will go out of their way to help foreigners.
What happens if my child gets sick?
There are very good international medical facilities available in Saigon.
Doctors speak English – and a lot of other languages too – and the service quality is very high.
IMPORTANT || please make sure your child is insured.
We will accompany your child to the hospital, in case of an emergency at any time of the day/night needed.
What if there are problems with my child?
During the program, your child’s guardian is always your first point of contact.
If your child does not have a guardian program, please contact your student advisor.
In case of emergencies, we are contactable 24/7.
For non-urgent questions you will have a reply latest by the next working day.
Why do under 18’s stay with homestay families?
Our Vietnamese homestay families are great with teenagers.
They look after their host children and give your child the freedom to explore from a safe home base.
They also provide supervision and help with enforcing the rules you set for your child.
