PLEASE NOTE | Homestays in Hanoi are only offered to full time students of LTL Language School. You cannot partake in a homestay without taking a Vietnamese course of at least 20 hours a week.

PLEASE NOTE || If you wish to stay with a Vietnamese homestay family during Tết Nguyên Đán (Vietnamese New Year) there is a 70USD supplement. Staying with a Vietnamese family during the biggest holiday and celebration of the year is a magical and unforgettable experience where you’ll be treated to a whole host of incredible home cooked dishes and celebrations that you would not experience at any other time of the year.
The supplement covers all additional costs and is applicable for anyone staying with a family during one of the holidays.
If you have specific requirements please speak to us, we can cater for anyone.

If I don’t want to stay in a homestay, what are my options?
Students who choose not to stay in a homestay would select their own accommodation.

Can I book a homestay without booking a course?
No, unfortunately.
All our homestay are very popular, and thus only reserved for our students who study in small group classes or individually.
Do I get a house key?
Yes you will get a house key.
How do you decide who to pair me with?
We will make sure to get to know you before placing you.
We will ask you a few questions, such as your likes, hobbies, passions etc.
Because we have a diverse array of families, each with unique characteristics and interests, we can create ideal matches.
Can I change my homestay if I am not happy?
You can. Just reach out to us, and we will make every effort to find a solution.
While this is a rare occurrence, if the situation warrants change, we are here to assist you.
How do I get to my homestay family from the airport?
We can come and pick you up.
You can also go get a taxi yourself, but students usually prefer to be taken directly by our drivers after a long flight.
Our airport pickup is one of a number of additional services which we provide.

Can someone come and stay over in my room?
No this is not possible.
Your host family would find this rude and disrespectful.
Will I receive information about my host family before?
Yes. Before your arrival we will send you an information pack by email. Make sure you have a look to learn a bit more about your family.
Can I wash my clothes?
Of course!
All our homestays are equipped with washing machines and everything necessary.
If you’re fortunate, your homestay family might even take care of your laundry for you!
Can I come home late at night?
As long as you demonstrate respect, maintain a quiet atmosphere, and avoid loud noises, everything will be fine.
Additionally, please remember to inform your host family if you plan to have dinner outside so that they don’t delay their meal waiting for your return.
